We provide professional guidance on determining the optimal proximity of buildings to specific trees ensuring that their stability and health remain uncompromised. Additionally, we offer expert advice on design techniques that facilitate the seamless integration of trees into the overall development plan or how trees can be removed.
An Arboricultural Impact Assessment is a technical report often requested by the town planner (council) to assess the potential impact of a proposed building project on trees within the development envelope, including adjacent trees.
The aim of this report is to identify and mitigate any problems before they arise. The Arborist will identify the trees impacted by the development project and balance these against the development proposal and construction activities. The report will record the species, size of canopy, trunk diameter, Tree Protection Zone (TPZ), Structural Root Zone (SRZ), useful life expectancy, retention value and impacts within the TPZ Zone from the development.
This information will help in the decisions that need to be made for the potential tree removals and retained trees. The aim is to achieve the maximum benefit for your development and manage the trees surrounding the development according to the Australian Standard AS-4970-2009.
Recomendation will be included for trees where their TPZ zones are partially within the development footprint. Tree Root Mapping can be used here to mitigate their likely impact, allowing buildings to be placed closer to trees.
All trees to be removed will be clearly identified and all trees to be retained will be clearly identified.
A Tree Management Plan also known as a Tree Protection Plan will be provided if trees are retained on site or in adjacent areas.
A requirement by Council for a Tree Protection Plan is a Project Arborist. The Project Arborist will be the contact throughout the construction phase and can be called upon when needed.
Arbor Express can provide a Project Level 5 Arborist with fast track option available for those tight deadlines. Make an enquiry today.
